Episode 29: "Bottom"

BOTTOM.jpg

It was April 8. The world was being steadily ravaged by a deadly virus the likes of which had never been seen. New York and LA had been in a state of lockdown for three weeks, and shit was getting super real...

So begins several first drafts of as-yet-unwritten memoirs. Kidding. Well, maybe. What’s true is that this episode was recorded on April 8 when reality was simultaneously setting in and slipping away. We were counting rolls of toilet paper and finally paying attention to how much peanut butter was left in the jar. Isn’t it fascinating how quickly you run outta paper towels when you’re cleaning all the time?

The world has changed again and again since we recorded this, but if you’re looking to take a trip down memory lane to a time when you were only worried about your health and your family’s health and your partner’s health and your access to things like masks and food and free Covid-19 testing…look no further.

Now, before you get to listening, please consider donating to any of the causes below. We linked to several foundations in our episode last week, and since then the outpouring of support from donors everywhere has been unprecedented — SO unprecedented a lot of those places are urging people to donate elsewhere.
